From Crisis to Character

Someone asked me the other day what do I do.

It is hard to capture that into a sentence when I have been doing that for 28 years.

I am so good at what I do, I sometimes take my ability to heal, support, coach, counsel and hold space for granted.

What I do comes so naturally to me and is effortless.

Most people have told me that after a Clarity Call, they leave feeling relieved and refreshed.

I consistently hold space for you to overcome crisis and chaos and find your character, your strength and your spirit.

I think of Asma when I write this.

Asma is not her real name.

She was burnt out when she came to me in January 2019.

She was literally dying not able to hold food down as the disease she had was in her gut.

All that negative energy was eating her gut alive.

9 months after working with me, she is now able to eat again and enjoy food again and be with her family again and cook again.

Asma came to me thoroughly depleted, depressed and deflated.

She was convinced that her disease stemmed from an external cause and if she changed her external conditions, she would become healthier.

Working with me these last 9 months, her life is no longer about how to manage one crisis after another and hold everything and everyone in place but is instead about holding herself and what she truly wants, desires and yearns for.

Working with me to look at the relationship she had with herself caused her to connect with the core of her character.

And that is what I do, I consistently hold space for you to overcome crisis and connect to the core of your character.

This helped her to hold space for herself. Working with me helped change Asma’s perspective on her relationships with herself, God, her family, friends and work.

Asma constantly now speaks about healthy she feels and vibrant and full of life and joy.

The negativity that was eating away at her gut has been replaced by positivity and joy.

This is in all areas of her life, her career, her creativity, her relationships with her friends and colleagues and her family even the members she had alot of conflict with.

If you want to overcome crisis and discover your true character then one of my 9 months Coaching Program will help you.

Having qualified as a Social Worker in July 1991 from Coventry University, it has been over two decades that I have been on the front line working with children and young people who are traumatized and on the margins of society. Although I studied Psycho-dynamic counselling for two years at Goldsmiths College (1991-1993), I decided to integrate Psycho-dynamic theories and skills into my Social work practice and flirt with and immerse myself in studying Islam as well as interfaith dialogue and friendships. For the last 20 years, I have been working in a multi-disciplinary Youth Offending Team in South London, comprised of Professional colleagues from different faiths and cultural backgrounds trying to support young people in the criminal justice system. I am married and mother to three sons, and juggle Social Work and interfaith dialogue with my writing, studying and the needs of home and family.
